Triangulum Galaxy is about 3 million light years away (compared to Andromeda which is 2 million light years away). Triangulum Galaxy is part of our local group of galaxy. While visually it is not as bright as Andromeda, the image captures details of spiral arms as well as dark lanes. The processing of this image is work in progress.
The shot was taken at Rancho Canada Del Oro and Henry Coe state park.
